Obie
I'm Nick, I'm 38 years old and based in the UK. I like long walks on the beach and ice cr.... just kidding, walking is THE WORST.
I'm a huge animal person having recently got a black lab puppy called Obie who you can see here and was a big reason I started making the Simply Adopt widget because of how difficult and annoying the process was to try and find dogs that needed a home.
I have no patience for tools that are more complicated than the problem they are meant to solve.
I'm hilariously ADHD, which means I always look for the least overwhelming and simplest way to do things. So I started making widgets and tools with 1 goal in mind, give you, the creators, as much choice as possible to make it their own whilst being really easy to use and implement. With around 9 million streamers in the world, expressing your individuality is more important than ever and I try to build my tools with that in mind.
I spent many years streaming and shoutcasting and in that time I got very involved in the mechanics of livestreaming and the software we use like OBS Studio or bots like Streamer.bot. I was always looking for new ways to improve or add something fancy to my streams but was regularly finding myself coming up short or making my own things because they either didn't exist or they were really complicated and fiddly.
I spent the last year really refining these and creating the product line for the next 2 years as well with a new product aiming to come out every month, including some more recognisable tools like a modular & reactive webcam frame, to some brand new ones like my fully interactive clickable stream tool that makes your stream video WAY more interactive for your community to click on and use.
I am still continuing to stream and shoutcast alongside continuing to make cool things for you and I really hope you enjoy using my products. Any and all support to help me continue to make these is greatly appreciated and I welcome all feedback good or bad so feel free to get in touch.
